ホアン・モンラ  黄 蒙拉（ヴァイオリン）

1980年上海生まれ。4歳でヴァイオリンを始める。8歳で上海音楽学院に入学し、その類稀な才能を認めたリナ・ユー教授に師事、2005年に修士課程を修了し史上最年少で同音楽院の教員となった。その後、英国王立音楽院でジェルジ・パウク、リューベック音楽大学でトーマス・ブランディスのもと研鑽を積んだ。

01年第1回仙台国際音楽コンクール第1位および聴衆賞を受賞。また、上海の春国際音楽祭で最優秀演奏賞を受賞。02年にはパガニーニ国際ヴァイオリン・コンクールで優勝し、同時にレナード･バルビエーリ記念賞およびマリオ・ルミネルリ記念賞を受賞した。

これまでに、ネーメ・ヤルヴィ、ジョナサン・ノット、ヘンリク・シェーファー、ムハイ・タン、ニコラ・ルイゾッティ、沼尻竜典、トーマス・ダウスゴー等の指揮のもと、バンベルク響、シュトゥットガルト放送響、ルクセンブルク･フィル、デンマーク国立響、N響、東響、香港フィル、中国国立響、上海響、シンガポール響、バーゼル響をはじめとする数多くのオーケストラと共演。

07年にはリンカーンセンター・アリス・タリー・ホールでニューヨーク・デビューを果たし、同年12月北京の中国国家大劇院のこけらおとし公演に出演。08年にはプラハの春音楽祭に出演、翌年には台湾で開催されたパガニーニ音楽祭にも出演した。11年にはシュターツカペレ・ドレスデンと共に中国とドイツ、さらにチェコ・フィルと中国ツアーを行った。13年にはメキシコ国立響とメキシコ・ツアー、ヴュルテンベルク室内管やプラハ室内管と中国ツアーを行い、いずれも好評を得た。

05年、ドイツ･グラモフォンより「ヴァイオリン･ショウピース」でＣＤデビュー。08年には同レーベルより「ヴァイオリニッシモ」をリリース。11年にはパガニーニの「24のカプリース」が発売された。

現在、上海音楽学院教授をつとめ、金沢市で毎夏行われている「いしかわミュージックアカデミー」で長年講師をつとめているほか、仙台国際音楽コンクールなどで審査員もつとめている。

Mengla Huang, Violin

Mengla Huang, as one of the most active violinists on the world stage, won the 49^th  Paganini International Violin Competition at the age of 22, and also received the Renato De Barbieri Memorial Award for the best interpretation of Paganini’s Caprices and the Mario Ruminelli Memorial Award in this competition, thus getting named as “Oriental Paganini”.

Since 2001, as a solo violinist, Mengla Huang has made his United States debut on concert stages such as Alice Tully Hall and Lincoln Center in New York. He has performed as an honorary guest at the opening concert of National Centre for Performing Arts (China). He became the first Chinese violinist to give a recital at the world famous Prague Spring International Music Festival. He toured with orchestras such as Sinfonieorchester Basel, NHK Symphony Orchestra, Dresden Staatskapelle, Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of Mexico and many more top international orchestras and achieved astounding success throughout China, Japan and Europe.

In addition, Mengla has also been invited as a solo violinist with Bamberger Symphoniker, Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra, Hamburg Symphony Orchestra, Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Nice Philharmonic Orchestra, Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Japan Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Conductors with whom he has collaborated are Neeme Jarvi, Jonathan Nott, Long Yu, Henrik Schaefer, Muhai Tang, Edo de Waart, Nikolaj Znaider, Jia Lü and Yi Zhang.

The 16/17 season he completed the concert tour in China with Paganini 24 Caprices for solo violin and struck a strong chord among music critics, which also marked a milestone in his professional career.

In 2014, Mengla as the ambassador, cooperated with FM.947, the only classical music Radio in China, to promote the development of classical music in China.

Since 2005, Mengla Huang’s solo albums have been published by Universal Music under Deutsche Grammophon label.

Mengla Huang has worked as a professor at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. He has also served as a guest professor of the Ishikawa Music Academy in Japan for many years and has taken on the duty as a member of jury in both international and domestic major competitions such as the Sendai International Violin Competition.
